The freedom road is the same but different for men and women. What? It is the same road, but the designs of men and women make a difference. Understanding the designs and applying them to the road to freedom or love can help you see where you are right now.

While the freedom road is the same but different, a critical first issue issue starts with you. That means no matter how different someone is, God has called us to treat them like He does. Remember, He wants us to love our enemies. Yes, pursue the best for them patiently, kindly, sacrificially, and unconditionally. 

The primary issue is not about their behavior, it is about yours - whether you are doing what God asked you to do. That is a radical relationship where the abundant life and the empowering of the Holy Spirit is. Only Jesus' life and the Holy Spirit in us provides the strength and power to treat someone like God does, despite their behavior.

The road to freedom for a husband with his wife is not about him getting his wife to respect him as God wants from her (Ephesians 5:22). Instead, God desires the husband to love (pursue her best patiently, kindly, sacrificially, and unconditionally) as set out in Ephesians 5:25-29.
