When you entertain the PROBLEM, you are looking at โSatisfy ME!โ Your behavior is influenced and driven by the โPROBLEM Structureโ! You will soon be on the path of least resistance, fulfilling your ME thoughts and desires.
The PROBLEM creates a path of least resistance that is highly destructive, and it can be traced directly to the original sin in the Garden of Eden. Worse yet, the judgments are the fuel that helps the PROBLEM occur regularly in your life. You will again see two structures battling against each other - just like God has told us in His Word.

The doctrine of original sin seems an offense to reason, but once accepted, it makes total sense of the entire human condition. โ Pascal What a profound statement! The only problem is it is only profound to those who trust in God and His Word.

โโฆthe object of attractionโฆโ eventually leads to the โโฆtriumph of passionate desireโฆ.โ When you study the account of Adam and Eveโs sin in the Garden of Eden and apply it to your current life, you will see exact parallels. As you will see in the next module, you are the culprit, not Satan.

This is a disease of the โI.โ You and all of the rest of us have โIโ problems! You think everything revolves around you. And when that is what you are thinking, Satanโs strategy to get you to question Godโs Word will more easily work on you.

Because you โFlash your MEโ and make everything about โME,โ that shows that your primary desire is about satisfying ME NOW! That thinking drives you to the natural actions of wanting what God prohibits, having what you do not have (and now!), gratifying your senses (now!), and looking good to everyone (now!).

Remember โwhere you look, you tend to goโ? Think about it โ you are staring intently at โSatisfy ME,โ so the structure starts demanding actions to get you to THERE, so you can be satisfied.

Because of the sin nature, numerous items are ready to distract us from Glorifying God. However, the reality is that all those distractions fall into the category of trusting something other than God. You are choosing โsomething other than Godโ in the fundamental decision or choice in life, which, may I remind you, is, โWill I trust God or something other than God?โ

Listening to lies is not a sin. Eve listened to Satan, but that was not her sin. Adam listened to Eve, but that was not his sin. The actions and thoughts (โintent of the heartโ) based on trusting something or someone other than God become sin. Listening to lies fuels the vehicle of SELF which is used to transport us to the arena of sin.
